Vespasian, 69-79. Denarius (Silver, 17 mm, 3.40 g, 6 h), Antiochia, 72-73. IMP CAES VESP AVG P M COS IIII Laureate head of Vespasian to right. Rev. CONCORDIA AVGVSTI Concordia seated to left, holding patera in her right hand and cornucopiae in her left. BMC 505. Cohen 74. RIC 1554. RPC II 1927. Boldly struck in high relief and with an impressive portrait. Faint marks, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.

Obverse die links to VICTORIA AVGVSTI-denarii (see f.e. Leu 83 (2002), 739, NAC 125 (2021), 522 and Triton XXV (2022), 841) show that this type was struck as part of the Judaea Capta-commemorative issue of 72-73, which celebrated the Flavian victories against the Jewish insurgency and the capture of Jerusalem.
